Local Justyn Shaw spent decades surfing the gnarly Australian breaks before settling in South New Brighton. As well as wanting to pass onto others his riding skills and tricks, Justyn is passionate about the area’s unique environment – its ocean, beach, sandspit, river, and estuary – a truly special part of Christchurch.
Justyn finds surfing here more than a sport, it is an experience – with it’s unspoilt rustic charm, having the waters to yourself, some wonderful natural backdrops, and the laid back lifestyle vibe.
He is first aid qualified.
